How To Help

Maya in art classThere's a myriad of ways you can chose to contribute. You can:

Donate your time

Volunteers are always welcome. You could:

  • Close your doors and have your entire staff spend a day at a family support center working on projects and helping out in any way they can.
  • Provide paid time away from work for your employees to allow them the opportunity to volunteer on a regular basis with a family support center. Share your skills and experience
    • Volunteer one hour a week during the school year to help tutor children who are struggling in school
    • Teach classes in basic banking and budgeting as well as credit management to low-income individuals
    • Teach a child to play the piano or another musical instrument

Donate goods and services

Donations can include:
  • Surplus goods that your business no longer needs; furniture, computers, office supplies, etc.
  • Supplies for 'Back to School' backpacks - help children be ready for school
  • Food for an event or for the food bank
  • Warm blankets and clothing
  • Services from your organization such as computer classes or other vocational training

Donate money

Donations of any amount are always appreciated and allow the Family Support Center to direct the funds to wherever the need is greatest at the time.

Through these contributions our local family support centers are able to continue their support of our community's most needy. This may be as basic as making sure children are well fed and clothed all the way to providing medical care, substance abuse assistance, educational needs, housing issues, employment assistance, and much more.
